Jason Thompson gave a bill brief of SB304 stating that this permanently removes the sunset provision on the COVID-19 contact tracing privacy act. (Attachment 1)

Senator Wilborn moved, and Senator Bowers seconded, to move SB304 out of Committee favorably.

Senator Haley stated that he will stand in opposition to the bill because he feels health professionals have the tools to deal with COVID-19 and we just need to have a little patience; we are in the down hill stretch on this.

The Chairperson called the vote.

Senator Haley and Senator Corson requested that it be recorded they voted Nay. The motion passed.
