Eileen Ma, Assistant Revisor, Kansas Revisor of Statutes Office (ROS), presented a bill brief and stood for questions. There were none. (Attachment 1)
Eric Turek, Director, Government and Public Affairs, Kansas Department of Insurance, presented oral proponent testimony. (Attachment 2)
Seeing there were no questions or comments for Mr. Turek, and no other proponent, opponent, or neutral testimony was submitted, Chairperson Longbine closed the hearing on SB17.
The Chairperson informed the Committee that he would be out of town next week and Vice Chairperson Michael Fagg would be running the meetings on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The meeting adjourned at 9:40 am. The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 9:30 am, in Room 546-South of the Capitol.
